Here’s the story of how we pushed the frozen daiquiri beyond the blender and launched a million go cups. 25 million per year to be exact.
The year was 1983 and in Louisiana, a pioneer named David Briggs Jr. was introducing the world to his frozen daiquiris, passing out samples on Bourbon Street and starting a frozen beverage phenomenon.
From these humble beginnings—a few innovative chilling machines and twenty tasty flavors—grew a formidable frozen drink empire.
Fat Tuesday revolutionized the frozen drink business by developing a variety of premium frozen drink products that could be prepared quickly and consistently, creating a profitable franchise opportunity. The frozen drink model has proven to be a successful opportunity for our current franchise family, with few demographic and geographic boundaries.
